Not Just Trained. Proven.

A Foundation That Holds Up Anywhere

At Shelby Cheyenne Equine Advancement, training isn’t rushed, gimmicked, or commercialized. It’s done with the horse in mind—and with the future in view. Whether it’s a colt getting his first ride, a performance prospect gaining the miles, or a seasoned athlete building up his earnings, our program focuses on creating dependable horses who are mentally, physically, and emotionally prepared to compete at the highest level

Young Horse Development

This program is for owners who understand the importance of getting the start right. Our Young Horse Development Program isn’t just about putting rides on a horse—it’s about building a foundation that holds up for a lifetime of success.

We start young horses with clarity, feel, and strong expectations. The result? Horses that are soft without being dull, forward without being reactive, and ready to advance—whether they’re headed to the show pen or being brought along by a non-pro who wants a solid, reliable partner.

Reining & Ranch Show Prep

This program is built for horses and riders with competition in mind—specifically in NRHA and ranch versatility events. Whether your horse is being shown in the open or you're an amateur preparing to show yourself, our focus is on correctness, consistency, and confidence in the arena.

We develop show horses that swalk into the arena prepared focused and with a clear understanding of their job. For owners, that means fewer surprises and more confidence heading into every class—whether you’re handing Shelby the reins or entering the pen yourself.

Foundational Horsemanship

This program is for the serious recreational rider who values a well-broke horse: one that’s safe, responsive, and a pleasure to ride. If you want a horse that’s trustworthy on the trail, enjoyable to ride at home, and tuned in without being micromanaged, this is where it starts. We focus on building soft, responsive, thoughtful horses that are just as enjoyable as they are dependable.
